Welcome to Brazil!
We are very happy to share this moment with you and hope you have a great time in Brazil. If it’s your first time visiting, here are a few tips and reminders to help your trip go smoothly.
Weather:
The wedding will take place during the Brazilian winter, but it can still get warm. Please bring clothes suitable for both warm and cooler weather.
Even though the wedding is in São Bernardo do Campo, we will be staying in Santos, which is generally considered a safe city. As in many places around the world, pickpocketing can occasionally happen, so we recommend keeping your phone and camera secure and avoiding holding them in your hands while walking.
Visa Requirements:
Depending on your nationality, you may need a visa to enter Brazil. We recommend checking the requirements for your country well in advance.
Sunscreen and Mosquito Repellent:
The sun in Brazil can be quite strong, even during winter, so please bring sunscreen. Mosquitoes are also present at this time of year, so having mosquito repellent is recommended.
Staying in Santos:
As mentioned, we will be staying in Santos, where Elisa’s parents live. Santos is a beach town with a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.
We will stay there for three more days after the wedding before continuing our travels. If you are there at the same time, we would love to spend some time together.
If you plan to stay in Santos, please let us know. There are several Airbnbs and hotels we can recommend near Elisa’s parents’ home.
Arriving in Brazil:
If you arrive at Guarulhos Airport (São Paulo) and plan to stay in Santos, there is a direct bus that goes straight to the Santos bus station. Please let us know your arrival details, and we will be happy to help you organize your trip.
Traveling Back Home:
São Paulo traffic can be heavy, so please plan ahead and allow extra time to get to the airport. Traffic delays can be significant, so make sure to leave early to avoid missing your flight.
Gifts: If you wish to give us something beyond your presence, you may choose any item from our gift list.
Unfortunately, the list is in Portuguese, as it was not possible to have it in two languages, but you can translate it using your browser.
If you are purchasing from outside Brazil, click on “Other countries” to pay via PayPal.
When adding a gift to the cart, the website automatically includes a physical card for an additional cost.
As we will already receive notifications that identify the sender of the gift, this additional cost is not necessary.
Therefore, we recommend selecting “I would not like to send a card,” which appears in small letters at the bottom of the payment page, below the card options and just above the “Complete purchase” button.
